02 Jun What’s New in the Neighborhood?
Buckhead – Smokebelly BBQ just opened it’s doors to the public last week and boasts a hearty menu of southern classics and a robust bar to match. The outdoor patio is lined with picnic-style tables resting on top of a faux, but lovely lawn. It’s a great addition to the East Andrews section of Buckhead.
With an elevated approach to pizza and bowling, Justin Amick of the Concentrics linage opens the
Painted Pin in Miami Circle later this week. This full game complex includes arcade favorites like ski-ball, basketball pop shots and other interactive games, while not skimping on creative cocktails.
Decatur – A new location of the healthy fast-casual chain, Fresh 2 Order,
is hitting downtown Decatur Square in the former Atlanta Bread Company location. This very popular concept has thrived in Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Midtown and other metro neighborhoods and should take nicely to its new digs.
Edgewood – There’s been no shortage of coverage on the anticipated street car project on Edgewood, and on June 7 over two dozen local vendors will open
pop-up shops along the route. Although just a micro version of what the full retail operations will look like in the future, it’s an exciting development for the Edgewood neighborhood.
Inman Park – Barcelona Restaurant and Wine Bar isn’t new to Inman Park, but their Monday half-priced bottle of wine night starts this Monday. Enjoy the outdoor patio, delicious tapas and your favorite wine for half the price.
Kirkwood – If you’re familiar of the original Elmyr in Little 5 Points, think of Elmyriachi as its older cousin with a bigger house. This new restaurant has a similar menu to its Tex Mex relative, serves over 20 styles of margaritas, but with amped up square footage. Now Kirkwood residents can stay close to home when their taco cravings hit.
Morningside/Ashley Park – An extension of its Miami predecessor, Clean Start: Herbs for Health has opened in the Morningside/Ashley Park neighborhood. This unassuming store front has top of the line equipment behind its doors offering colonic, foot bath detoxes and acupressure massage as well as a whole shop full of the latest in herbal supplements and cleanses. If you’re looking for a clean start, this is the place!
