New Midtown Restaurant and Retail in the Works

The Stream Realty Partners is updating Midtown by developing the long closed Bobby & June’s Kountry Kitchen into an 11,000 square foot retail and restaurant space to open next spring. The currently titled 375 14th Street project will likely level the existing establishment that inhabited Mescalin and 14th street for 30 years. The new development bridges the gap between the established Midtown and growing Westside neighborhoods, offering more dining and shopping options between the interstate and Northside Drive.

With the spring real estate in a little bit of a slump nationally, the promise of needed commercial development on 14th Street will hopefully inspire buyers and have a positive impact on surrounding residential areas. Although median home sale prices in Atlanta dipped by 2% from the prior quarter, the Midtown neighborhood was actually up 2%. Atlanta median sale price increased by 11.2% year over year with Midtown staying in line with the metro average. Here’s hoping the the commercial development interest in this part of the city will continue the residential upward trend in the months and year to come.
