In-Town Atlanta Real Estate Allows You to Live with the Arts

Investment in in-town Atlanta real estate brings you into a community that is deeply interested in art, including fine arts, folk art and performance art.   Atlanta has a large enthusiastic community that buys art on a regular basis, and this leads to the flourishing of art centers and art festivals in the city.   There are also many theaters that promote performing arts, such as the historic Fox Theater.   The buildings in many of the areas demonstrate this art-loving community where street art livens up the walls and makes people take notice of their surroundings.

Atlanta is the host of the street art conference Living Walls, The City Speaks, where locals and other artists paint murals on vacant buildings, with the permission of the owners, of course.   In fact, it is entirely legal as the art is approved and contracts signed before the artist takes his brush to the walls.   Street artists all over the world attend the conference and paint works of art that either convey a message or is simply aesthetic.

The High Museum of Art offers famous collections of classic and contemporary art.   It also holds special exhibitions of the world’s greatest art.

The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center holds 6 to 12 exhibitions annually, with 4 seasonal rotations that feature works of art from local, national and international artists.

A most unique art center, the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, is a non-profit community center for arts that provides various workshops and classes for visual, literary and performing arts.  These programs are open to all age groups.   Special performances, gallery exhibitions and fundraising galas take place throughout the year.   It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Atlanta Arts Festival takes place annually in Piedmont Park, on the second weekend following Labor Day.   It is committed to bringing together exceptional artistic talent nationally.

The Decatur Arts Festival features an artists’ market, fine arts exhibition, a kids’ art festival and theater and literary arts festival that brings together creative talent from all genres.
