In-town Atlanta real estate includes midtown, downtown and some older neighborhoods in the east side. All these areas are conveniently accessible to public transportation, jobs and cultural attractions. Consider five secrets for finding affordable in-town Atlanta housing.
1. Bigger isn’t always better. Some people want a certain number of square feet when they look for a home; but bigger is not always better, especially if the space was poorly used. A smaller home that maximizes space is more affordable and livable. Consider layout over square feet to find the best deals.
2. Search for housing in some of the improving neighborhoods to score a great deal. Consider up-and-coming areas such as Edgewood, East Lake and Kirkwood.
